Graduate and Post-Graduate Programs
The Division of Child Development and Education, Faculty of
Health Science, is attached to the Institute of Health Science, and provides the two graduate programs as Child Development and Education and Special Education, and a doctorate program of Child Development and Education. The graduate program may accept graduates from Department of Child Development and Education,
Faculty of Health Science, Hacettepe University, and graduates from faculties of medicine, health and education and other 4 year faculties, subject to the approval of the Departmental Board. The Doctorate program may accepts the candidates with the B.Sc. degree from one of the graduate programs of the Division of Child Development and Education, and other candidates with B.Sc. degree in other areas subject to the approval of Departmental Board.
Graduate Programs
Candidates, successfully passing the exams of LES (Exam for Graduate Education), foreign language, and interview for the area of Child Development and Education, shall prepare a discretion thesis in addition to the courses with minimum 24 credits. Students, being found successful in discretion thesis are awarded with the “Master of Science” degree in Child Development and Education. Persons having this M.Sc. degree may apply to the doctorate program.
The Doctorate Program
Students of the Doctorate program must enter the Foreign Language Exam for State Personnel, after successfully completing courses of minimum 36 credits. Students, successfully passing (min. 60 points) this exam, may enter the exam for sufficiency in science for doctorate. Students, passing this exam, submit their proposal for thesis to Committee for Thesis consisted of Faculty of Department. Students, successfully completing their thesis, are awarded with the “Doctor of Science” degrees.
