  The graduates of the Department of Child Development may be employed for the following duties in the areas of Education, Health, Social Services and other sectors:

• Academic staff in various programs of Universities;
• Administrator, educational coordinator, counsellor, specialist and child development and educationalists in Institution of Family Studies, Prime Ministry;
• Administrator, educational coordinator, counsellor and child development and educationalists in day care units, institutions and related units under the control of General Directorate of Institution for Social Services and Child Protection, Prime Ministry;
• Administrator, educational coordinator, counsellor, specialist and child development and educationalists in day care units, institutions and related units under the control of Presidency of Administration for Handicapped;
• Administrator, educational coordinator, counsellor, specialist and child development and educationalists in day care units, institutions and related units under the control of State Planning Organization, Prime Ministry;
• Program Creator and Supervisor in General Directorate of Preschool Education, General Directorate of Primary School Education, General Directorate of Technical Training for Girls, General Directorate of Special Education and Counseling, Head Office of Planning, Research and Coordination Department, Centers of Counseling and Research, Public Training Centers, General Board of Training and Education;
• Preschool class teacher, primary school class teacher and special education class teacher at Primary Schools of Ministry of Education;
• Teacher of Child Development and Education in Vocational Girls Schools for Girls of Ministry of Education;
• Child Development and Educationalists in the Mother and Child Health and Family Planning Centers of Ministry of Health;
• Program coordinator and Child Development and Educationalist in pediatric wards and hospital schools of hospitals attached to the Ministry of Health and/or University Hospitals;
• In the following institutions and centers under the control of General Directorate of Institution for Social Services and Child Protection, Prime Ministry, and Ministry of Education:
- Founder, administrator, specialist and Child Development and Educationalist in private and governmental day care centers, preschools and kindergartens,
- Founder, administrator, specialist and Child Development and Educationalist in private and governmental special education, care and rehabilitation centers
- Educational coordinator and Child Development and Educationalist in private family counseling centers,
- Instructor for the in-service training activities of private and governmental institutions.
• Child Development and Educationalist or supervisor in works for children with special needs such as the homeless children, working children, neglected and abused children, refugee children, social disadvantaged children, children effected by natural disasters, under the control of General Directorate of Institution for Social Services and Child Protection, Prime Ministry, and NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations) ;
• Expertise and counsellor in children courts and Child Development and Educationalists in reformatories attached to the Ministry of Justice;
• Project creator, executor and supervisor within UNICEF, ILO and NGOs;
• Programmer, producer, supervisor and specialists for preparation and execution of programs for children and youth and educational programs for radios and TVs;
• Producer, author, counsellor and supervisor in Theatres and Films for Children;
• Author, specialist, supervisor, redactor, editor for the preparation of such publications as books, magazines, newspapers for children;
• Designer, counsellor and supervisor for the production of educational toys.
