Scope
The scope of the Department of Child Development and
Education is to graduate Child Educationalists and Developmentalists providing services to the children, families, educators and the communities with its theoretical and practical education programs for supporting all of the developmental areas (mental, language, motor, self-help, socio-emotional) of different groups of children between 0 to 18 years of age such as normally developing children, children with special education, children with the need of protection (institutionalized, working, immigrant and delinquent children) and hospitalized children.
The sudents are graduated as equipped with such skills as to determine and monitor developmental levels in all developmental areas; to prepare supportive education programs appropriate to their levels, arrange environmental settings, apply and control such programs; to monitor whether the program provide contributions to the children, families and other related persons and arrange new settings; to provide professional constancy services for the individuals, institutions and associations and cooperate with such individuals and institutions; to increase consciousness of the society for these issues; and to work in coordination with disciplines related to children and families, for all of the children between 0-18 years of age in infancy, preschool age, school age and youth.
